Saturday December 4, 2021 Annual Scottish Christmas Walk Parade

For the 50th year, The Campagna Center is presenting its annual Scottish Christmas Walk Parade in Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia on Saturday, December 4, 2021 starting at 11:00 AM. All members, their friends, and friends of Airedales are invited to come march with the Airedale Terrier Club of Metropolitan Washington, DC. Please bring your dogs and show your holiday spirit. Even if you are just an Airedale supporter and fan, please come and support our beloved dogs. Enjoy parading along with marching units filled with the magnificent tartans of Scottish clans, the stirring sound of Scottish bagpipes and drums, Scottish dancers, reenactment groups, dogs with heritages from all over the British Isles and Ireland, dignitaries, classic cars, Santa Claus, and much more.

The parade begins at St. Asaph and Wolfe Streets and concludes at Market Square with a massed band concert. The parade will take place rain or shine. Please plan to wear something representative of the ATCMW, the United Kingdom, and/or the Airedale Terrier. We provide decorative ruffs for the dogs to wear. We will provide more details on specifically where and when we will assemble when we receive that information from the Campagna Center about one week before the event. Please direct any questions to club member Wilder Leavitt at [email protected].
